All brass construction, these CB radio antenna mounts are cut from solid bar stock. Stainless steel locking bolt on the swivel ball mount for good looks. Quick disconnect functions on the ball mount and coupling. 1 1/2 inch antenna face on the "flattop" swivel ball mount. Also, 1 1/2 inch face on the "pedestal" mount. Extra heavy (1/2-20) mounting bolts, 3/16 cable attachment. Inter locking insulators, 2 inch OD stainless steel base plates. Aluminum alloy (6061) material used for the stake pocket brackets. All stainless steel bolts for no rust, good for hard weather. One size fits ALL trucks, so it is good for whatever you buy. Designed to fit under a camper top or the tool box on back. Fast installation, one allen wrench and about two minutes of your time. The backing plates are to be used when mounting to the side of your vehicle. Plates are 4 1/2 inches in diameter with the top plate made from 1/2 inch thick aluminum and the inside plate made from 3/8 inch thick steel. The steel plate is tapped so that nuts and washers are not needed. The bolts pulling it together are stainless steel with stainless lock washers. The co-axial cable connectors that I have made ( my own and patent pending design) are made to carry any load. Just like all my stuff. They can be tightened to the max and will not stretch under load. 1/2-20 threaded stud fits all my mounts and quick disconnects. The 5/8-24 thread is standard for most co-axial cable connectors. |
