All brass construction, these CB radio antenna mounts are cut from solid bar stock. Stainless steel locking bolt on the swivel ball mounts for good looks. Quick disconnect functions on the ball mount, disconnect mount, and coupling. 1 1/2 inch antenna face on the "flattop" swivel ball mount for extra support of the big antennas. Also, 1 1/2 inch face on the "pedestal" mount. Extra heavy (1/2-20) mounting bolts, 3/16 screw for cable attachment. Inter locking insulators, 2 inch OD stainless steel base plates.
Aluminum alloy (6061) material used for the stake pocket brackets. All stainless steel bolts for no rust, good for hard weather. One size fits ALL trucks, so it is good for whatever you buy. Designed to fit under a camper top or the tool box on back. Fast installation, one allen wrench and about two minutes of your time. Also available but not pictured is a heavy duty model which does not fit under a camper top. And not pictured as well, is the new Front Bed Rail Clamp for pick-up trucks.
The backing plates are to be used when mounting to the side of your vehicle. Plates are 4 inches in diameter with both plates made from 3/8 inch thick aluminum. The back plate is tapped so that nuts and washers are not needed. The bolts pulling it together are stainless steel with stainless lock washers. The ball mount is attached to the aluminum plate with two pins so the mount will not rotate on the anchor bolt and for extra strength. A new design of my own which I think looks good and does the job. You would probably break the antenna before this thing falls over.
The Coaxial Cable Connectors that I have made ( my own and patent pending design) are made to carry any load. Just like all my stuff. They can be tightened to the max and will not stretch under load. 1/2-20 threaded stud fits all my mounts and quick disconnects. The 5/8-24 thread is standard, the same as the SO-239 cable connector and fits the PL-259 plug. This connector also doubles as THE PL259 Antenna Mount it is so strong. If your antenna uses a PL259 base connection ( such as the NGC UHV-6 ) then this is your mount. With the top part made with thick walls supporting the threads, she works like a charm.
The Front Bed Rail Clamp is new and original as well. It goes between the pick-up truck cab and the bed, needing only 3/4 of an inch access for installation and installs in minutes. Adjustable and able to fit most trucks made.
Everything that I make for ham radio or CB radio station operators, I make to last a lifetime. Unlike Radio Shack equipment, my equipment for antenna mounting is strong enough to hold any cb radio antenna. Any ham radio equipment that you might need to attach to your antenna tower will be totally secured. Strong enough to handle the antenna booster or motorized tarheel antenna. My mounting bracket for the pick-up truck is a design original that I made to solve a customer problem which has proved to be very popular. My coaxial connector is also original and a new design, (to solve my problem of finding something strong enough to work with my mounts) and can be used with the backing plate set up. And the Front Bed Rail Clamp is one of a kind, nothing else like it on the market. Also designed to solve a problem for one customer but will no doubt help a lot of other people. So if you have a problem, let me wrap a solution around it.
